  新浪科技訊 北京時間8月21日早間消息,3D打印公司Carbon3D已完成了1億美元的C輪融資,此輪融資由谷歌風投領投。該公司計劃利用這筆資金繼續技術開發,以實現最終目標:使3D打印成為製造業的核心部分。

  Carbon3D創立於2013年,目標是幫助商業公司突破原型產品製作,將3D打印技術應用至實際的製造業。該公司瞄準的行業包括航空、汽車、消費電子、運動裝備、醫療,以及工業等。該公司希望變革產品製造方式,降低製造成本。

  Carbon3D的方式不同於傳統3D打印。該公司認為,傳統3D打印可使用的材料有限,打印出的產品缺乏機械強度,並且耗費時間較長。目前關於3D打印,大部分人的第一反應都是MakerBot和類似的服務。

液體生長3D打印技術獲1億美元融資 谷歌領投

  Carbon3D將投資開發打印設備,包括硬件、軟件和打印材料。幾周前,該公司發布了3D打印技術CLIP(Continuous Liquid Interface Production,連續液面生長技術)。而福特則是CLIP的早期測試者之一。

  此輪融資的其他投資方還包括尤里·米爾納(Yuri Milner)、Reinet Investments S.C.A、F.I.S.,以及此前投資方紅杉資本、銀湖Kraftwerk和Northgate Capital。到目前為止,Carbond3D已融資超過1.4億美元。(李麗)
